Together We Rot by Skyla Arndt | ** | Wilhelmina's mother has been missing for years. Elwood's parents are running some sort of church. Or cult? Or...what, exactly?The book is billed as "horror for the romantically inclined and romance for the horror-lovers," which it attempts admirably to pull off. The story is set up well, but the final third feels rushed and paint-by-number. Still -- very much an interesting blend of multiple genres, and not a total waste of time.
